Bay Ferry Terminal Mural Study by Richard Haines

West coast modernist Richard Haines was a well known muralist for the WPA during the Great Depression. In this study for a mural for the Bay Ferry Terminal in San Francisco, Haines depicts a bustling scene pulled from the history of the West. The image is part of the Labor Arts exhibit Scenes of American Labor with art works that evokes the individual and physical experience of work. The entire series is housed at the Sullivan Goss Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA.
